Today, I will share one such heartwarming mother-daughter tale of perseverance and success in their unwavering quest to help others achieve financial independence and their dreams. The founders of House Of Chikankari.

How It All Began…

Before I unfold the story of how the House Of Chikankari was brought into existence, let me tell you about its founders. We all know that the love between mother and daughter is the strongest in the world. This holds true for Poonam and Aakriti Rawal as well. Poonam is her daughter, Aakriti’s best friend, confidante, role model and source of inspiration. Thus, it is no surprise that they collaborated in this righteous mission. Poonam, a Textile aficionado known for her sartorial choices, loved designing her wardrobe. And Aakriti, being cut from the same cloth, shared similar passions.

The House of Chikankari was conceived amidst the challenges posed by Covid. When a craftsman approached Poonam looking for work. On hearing from him/her the plight of many craftsmen and women, Aakriti, putting her educational and professional expertise to use, took a leap of faith and conceptualised House of Chikankari, set in an e-commerce retail space. The tumultuous journey was made easy because they had each other and some like-minded people who joined them on the way.
